This work documents a performance. From the darkness emerges the figure of a woman, a wild force, poised for movement - there is nothing from which this woman can be identified, labeled or categorised... she is instinctive. It is purposefully an anti-static pose a rebellion against current norms and representations in visual culture. There is nothing artificial, the woman’s naked body moves and bends with the shape of the tree, allowing a kind of space for physicality, for movement and exploration.
